Cause marketing was never something that I’d give too much thought to before last week. Sure, I knew what it was and I recognized it as beneficial – after all, I’m more likely to buy something if it’s associated with a “cause” – but all in a very general sense.

Now, after spending a couple days at the Cause Marketing Forum in Chicago with 3BL Media, I see that it’s much more complex. We interviewed businesses executives about the intricacies of choosing a nonprofit partner, planning a campaign, measuring success and more.
