Media Shower has teamed up with FIRM Race Management to provide exclusive videotaping services at nearly 30 triathlons throughout New England. Every year, FIRM works with nonprofit partners to plan and execute races that raise funds and allow amateur and elite athletes to compete. This year, athletes will have the chance to commemorate their accomplishment with a customized DVD from Media Shower.

Speaking for Sudan March 6, 2008

At Media Shower, we do a lot of work with Smith College. Recently, we were able to videotape a special ceremony awarding an honorary degree to Smith English Professor Eric Reeves.

While Reeves is surely an excellent teacher, he was actually being recognized for another accomplishment: his fight to end the atrocities being committed in the Sudan. At the event, Reeves was honored by colleagues, and then he moderated a panel of journalists and activists talking about the Sudan situation.

The event left me more inspired and more depressed than I’d ever felt at once. It also left me feeling grateful for the health, happiness and success that I’ve had in my life. One of the things I’m most grateful for is my career, which allows me to attend events like this and hear stories from all over the world.

You can watch highlights from the presentation here.
